Documents on My Desk

July 26th, 2006 by Adam

So, here is my un-staged desk as of 5 min ago (for scientific observation).

Desk with Papers

The are 5 types of documents that I notice at first glance.

  • Digital documents on my screen (web site, e-mail, etc…)
  • Printed web pages (technical tutorial from stepwise.com
  • Printed PDF manual (from Apple)
  • A Post-it with some to-do items
  • A book (Practical C Programming)

What kinds of documents on your desk right now?

On my computer screen right now - the exbiblio blog website, Outlook, some picture files I’m copying to a disc. One my desk, an appointment diary, a book called “Start Up” by Jerry Kaplan, 2 notebooks, a cheque that needs to be paid into my bank, some business cards, some yellow sticky to-do notes, an empty envelope. Not as tidy as yours. Oh, and I have a digital recorder that will have some sound files on it.

    BumpTop 3D Desktop Prototype

I saw a video about this prototype a few weeks back on youTube.com. I was very impressed in how much it accommodates real life human behavior on a desktop UI.
